Teatro in casa a Treviso

The Citizenship Theater lands in Treviso, and after having invaded the city's fish market with the Abitare i places project. The city as a stage, the Venetian director's new call for citizens of Treviso aged 18 and over is dedicated to the art of care, the home and private spaces, to be opened generously and shared with others.
This time it will be a close and intimate contact to reiterate the importance of active involvement of places and people through a timeless instrument such as theatre. After living together in the theater we will all meet in a house in the city to take care of each other, sharing rituals, words and emotions in a shared act.

Alice dal paese delle meraviglie

The theatre is a magical space where anything can happen... like in Alice's world where every time you eat or drink something you change your height, or you transform and so the world changes and everything is different and the impossible becomes possible.
If you then decide to look with upside down eyes or chase the White Rabbits you could set off on a great adventure. So here's what we need to play with ourselves: a little courage, a lot of curiosity and breaking down the limits that are only in the mind. The meetings will develop two different languages: that of theatrical narration and that of creative dance.

Venezia oltre il denaro

More than other cities in the world, Venice is its relationship with money: it is a city of merchants and the riches that have allowed its growth are commercial treasures. All this has made it an engine of cultural exchanges, a place where languages mix and where, even today, stories and trade are intertwined. The new project of the Citizenship Theater starts from The Merchant of Venice by William Shakespeare, a work often used in history to incite intolerance is rethought in this project to think critically about prejudices and the relationship with money. A source of inspiration will be the figure of Shylock, the merchant, who will allow us to reflect on Venice's relationship with the "God of money" and power, investigating the relationship that each of us has with money and talking about the city past and present.

La nuova chiamata del regista veneziano per i cittadini trevigiani dai 18 anni in su è dedicata all’arte della cura, alla casa e agli spazi privati, da aprire con generosità e condividere con gli altri. Sarà questa volta un contatto ravvicinato e intimo a ribadire l’importanza di un coinvolgimento attivo dei luoghi e delle persone attraverso uno strumento senza tempo come il teatro. Dopo aver vissuto insieme a teatro ci ritroveremo tutti in una casa della città per prenderci cura l’uno dell’altro, condividendo rituali, parole ed emozioni in un atto condiviso.
