TITIZÉ - A VENETIAN DREAM

This summer the acrobatic show written and directed by Daniele Finzi Pasca is back in Venice! Titizé - A Venetian Dream combines the language of Commedia dell'Arte with fascinating scenic machines, inventing a new visual aesthetic, enriched by multidisciplinary performers in ethereal universes where wonder is sometimes naive, sometimes ingenious, other times surreal.

Reflections in the water, the diaphanousness of clouds when are low, the iconic masquerade game where we hide ourselves in order to reveal and  unveil ourselves: three magical movements that magicians and shamans know and pass on.
There will be the night and its madness, the charlatans of clowns, objects that will levitate, acrobats that will fly, real and surreal rain and a continuous recreation of impossible balances. There will be traditional characters that will be multiplied, split, disassembled and rebuilt in a kaleidoscopic game. There will be Venice with her splendor, her atmosphere, her poetry and the mysteries that inhabit her.

Finzi Pasca Company

Theatre, dance, acrobatics, circus, opera and documentaries: everything merges together into Compagnia Finzi Pasca. Founded by Antonio Vergamini, Daniele Finzi Pasca, Hugo Gargiulo, Julie Hamelin Finzi and Maria Bonzanigo, it is based in Lugano, Switzerland and is among the largest independent art companies in the world.

It has created and produced more than 40 shows and over the years has developed concepts that have consolidated a unique aesthetic and a very personal style of creation and production, as well as a training philosophy for the actor, acrobat, musician, dancer and technician: a way of inhabiting space.
Its creatives have also signed 3 Olympic ceremonies, 2 shows for the Cirque du Soleil, 6 Operas, a multimedia show with video mapping, lights and water fountains for the city of Montreal. In total, they have performed in over 500 theatres in 46 countries for over 15 million spectators.

“The clowning we practice has always been intimately linked to tradition and brings with it echoes of the language of the Commedia dell'Arte. We come from a theater of wonder and simplicity that over the years we have contaminated using increasingly fascinating scenic machines, inventing a visual aesthetic that is our own.
We build shows in which we immerse multidisciplinary performers in rarefied universes where wonder sometimes manifests itself in a naive, sometimes ingenious, other times surreal way

TEATRO GOLDONI
